In 2024, the Fond du Lac County Board voted unanimously to move the Fond du Lac County Communications Center back under the Sheriff's Office.  

The Sheriff's Office Communications Center provides 911 service to all of Fond du Lac County. The dispatch center dispatches for 11 Police Departments, 11 First Responder groups, 6 ambulance services, and 18 fire departments.

The Communications Center currently employs a staff of 23 which includes Communication Deputies, Supervisors, and administrative staff.  The Communications Center falls under the Sheriff's Office administrative division and is overseen by Captain Eric Halbach and Lt. Brennan Wagner.
