Sergeant Andrew Kohlmann

K9_Team_Ace_KohlmannSergeant Andrew Kohlmann started his career with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office as a Patrol Deputy in September of 2017. Prior to coming to the Sheriff’s Office, he has worked as a Police Officer for the City of Wisconsin Dells for a short period of time. He spent the summers of 2016 and 2017 as a park ranger for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Deputy Kohlmann continued his role as a Patrol Deputy until he was promoted to Patrol Sergeant in March of 2022 where he is currently assigned to 2nd shift.  

Sergeant Kohlmann earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Resource Management Law Enforcement with a Minor in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin Sevens Point graduating in May of 2017. He graduated from the Law Enforcement Recruit Academy at Wisconsin Rapids Mid-State Technical College in 2016.

Sergeant Kohlmann currently serves as a member on the Sheriff’s Office SWAT team as a tactical deputy since 2018. He also is a K9 handler for K9 Ace. K9 Ace is a dual purpose police K9 trained in narcotics and handler protection. Sergeant Kohlmann has been with K9 Ace since 2020. Sergeant Kohlmann also serves on the water rescue and boat patrol unit for the Sheriff’s Office. Additionally, he is a certified instructor through the State of Wisconsin in EVOC.
