Sergeant Bednarek began his law enforcement career in 2007 as a part-time patrol officer with the Campbellsport Police Department. In 2008, he began working as a patrol officer with the City of Fond du Lac Police Department and served in that capacity until February of 2023 when he continued his career at the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office as a patrol deputy. Sergeant Bednarek was promoted to Sergeant in July 2024 where he now supervises 2nd shift patrol.

Sergeant Bednarek’s previous experience includes joining the Wisconsin Army National Guard after high school in 1998 with a yearlong deployment to Iraq in 2005.  Throughout his career in law enforcement he served on numerous committees and became a CPR Instructor. A member of the Drone Team, Deputy Reserves, Honor Guard Team Leader, and now Honor Guard Commander.

Sergeant Bednarek graduated from Fox Valley Technical College in 2007, with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice.
