Sergeant Logan Will’s path into law enforcement began with his graduation of the Law Enforcement Recruit Academy at Fox Valley Technical College in 2014. He then began his career with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office as a Correctional Deputy in April of 2015. In May of that year, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Ripon College, graduating with a self-designed major in Criminal Justice. In July of 2015, Will was promoted to Patrol Deputy.   As a Patrol Deputy he worked both 2nd and 3rd shifts and became a Field Training Officer 2018.   In July of 2019, he was promoted to this current position, Patrol Sergeant, where he has supervised both 1st and 2nd shifts.

Sergeant Will is certified by the Wisconsin LESB as an instructor in multiple disciplines. In 2018 he became a Defense and Arrest Tactics (DAAT) Instructor and in 2019 a Handgun and Rifle Instructor which includes weapon mounted optics. Sergeant Will is a Taser Instructor and is in charge of the Electronic Control Device (Taser) program. He is also the assistant use of force coordinator.

Sergeant Will is involved in multiple specialized units. He has been a member of the Honor Guard and SWAT team since 2017. As a SWAT team member, he was the ballistic shield operator and currently serves as one of the Assistant SWAT Commanders. Sergeant Will has completed additional specialized trainings for SWAT, which include Basic SWAT, Advanced SWAT Tactics / Concepts, TECC, NTOA SWAT Command 1, and Advanced Ballistic Shield Operator Instructor. Sergeant Will has also been a member of the Dive Team since 2019 and is currently the Dive Team Commander. Sergeant Will is the office quartermaster, being responsible for the uniforms and duty equipment within the Patrol Division. Sergeant Will is a member of the Child Abduction Response Team, Sex Offender Compliance Team, and the Peer Support Team. He has served as a member of the Deputy Reserve Unit since 2015. Sergeant Will is a current member of the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Benevolent Association, currently serving as the President and having previous positions of Member at Large and Vice President.
