OPEN RECORDS REQUESTS / INFORMATION

Open records requests can be made at the Sheriff’s Office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. & 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday (excluding Holidays), or by mailing them to:

Requests made by mail should complete the Request for Records form available from this website. Most requests will receive a reply within ten working days.

**Effective July 1, 2016, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office is digitizing its crash reports through a partnership with the Carfax Police Crash Assistance Program.  The reports are stored electronically in a secure database and are available for purchase online at http://crashdocs.org.

Typical requests include accident reports, incident reports, individual contact records, photographs, audiotapes, CD’s and DVD’s. Records can be picked up at the Sheriff’s Office or mailed to the requestor. Pre-payment is appreciated for each request based on the following fees:

Paper Copy $0.02 per page
CD/DVD $0.50 each
USB $4.50 each

 

Effective 7/19/19 - we no longer accept personal checks for payment.

We accept cash, money order and business checks or credit/debit cards for payments.

For Driver’s License records or Vehicle Registration records, you must complete a Vehicle/Driver Record Information Request form and mail it to:

For Criminal History Records, you must complete a Criminal History Record Request form and mail to:
