City-County Government Center Building and Court Security
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office is responsible for the safety and security of everyone inside the City-County Government Center (CCGC), including the courts. Deputies screen everyone entering the building at a security station located at the north entrance. Screening includes the use of a metal detector to screen people and an x-ray machine to screen bags and other items entering the building. The intent of this program is to provide a deterrent to acts of violence by keeping dangerous weapons and other unauthorized items out of the building. Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Additionally, per state statute the Sheriff is responsible for the safety and security of the circuit court, located on the 2nd floor of the City-County Government Center, and assigns deputies to provide court security.
