Sergeant Matthew Riemenschneider

Riemenschneider, Matthew WSergeant Matthew Riemenschneider began his career with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office in June of 2015 as a Correctional Deputy. In January of 2018 he was promoted to Patrol Deputy. Prior to joining the Sheriff's Office, Sergeant Riemenschneider was employed as a Correctional Officer with the Department of Corrections at Taycheedah Correctional Institution from 2012 to 2015. 

Sergeant Riemenschneider attended Moraine Park Technical College where he received an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice Corrections. Sergeant Riemenschneider graduated from the Fox Valley Technical College Law Enforcement Academy in 2018.

As a Patrol Deputy, Sergeant Riemenschneider worked on 1st and 3rd shift. Sergeant Riemenschneider has served as a Field Training Officer for newly hired deputies since 2021. He was promoted to Patrol Sergeant in February of 2023. 

Sergeant Riemenschneider is a SWAT team member, certified in tactical explosive, mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, and ballistic breaching techniques. Additionally, Sergeant Riemenschneider serves as a member of the Honor Guard and Canvass Section Chief for the Fond du Lac County Child Abduction Response Team (CART). Sergeant Riemenschneider is also an active member of the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Reserves.
