The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office established the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Chaplain Program in 2000.  Since the program’s inception, chaplains from different faiths have assisted officers in dozens of incidents.  Chaplains are frequently called upon to assist the officers and the citizens of Fond du Lac County in incidents involving death notifications, serious accidents and other traumatic events.  We can not forget that these traumatic incidents involve people---people who deserve comfort, care and support during these times.  Currently, the Sheriff’s Office Chaplain Program consists of chaplains representing many different denominations, yet all working together for one purpose.  The chaplains assist the Sheriff’s Office on a volunteer basis, many of whom also carry the responsibility of leading congregations.  The Sheriff’s Office is always looking for more chaplains to assist us.  If you, or somebody you know, has an interest in joining this team, please contact Lieutenant of Detectives Christopher Randall at the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, 929-3388, for more details.
